GIBB'S FARM
This safari stop over lies near the entrance to the Highlands, midway between Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Crater. Built on an old coffee plantation, the property is still a working farm, and its extensive organic vegetable garden provides many a wonderful meal. Just short hike away lies the village of Karatu, where you can take in the views of the valley as you walk past local farmers, and children herding their cows.
Gibb's Farm is an oasis of green, calm and beauty, in a landscape that can often be parched, dry and dusty.
