- ARUSHA / ZANZIBAR - BEACH

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport to depart on the scheduled flight to the Island of Zanzibar. On arrival into Zanzibar you will be met by a representative of the Ras Nungwi Beach Hotel and transported by road to your hideaway for next 3 nights. Ras Nungwi is located on an expanse of beautiful beach wilderness on the northern tip of Zanzibar. The hotel is built from hand-cut fossilized coral limestone and other natural materials, and literally blends into the landscape. You’ll enjoy the beauty of the natural surroundings without forsaking creature comforts. An eco-sensitive approach has ensured that the delicate balance of the land and sea flora and fauna have been preserved. The beach at Ras Nungwi is arguably the best on Zanzibar, and the nearby coral reef yields a beautiful lagoon. Low tides reveal sparkling white coral sand bars, and rock pools teeming with marine life. Guests can also enjoy the hotel's swimming pool, with stunning vistas of the Indian Ocean. Beach attendants are on hand to provide you with towels, sun-loungers and refreshments from the bar.
All 32 rooms are tastefully furnished, with hand-crafted four poster beds and indigenous décor, and all have air-conditioning, en suite facilities and balconies. Mosquito nets over all beds ensure a peaceful night's sleep, with the sound of the ocean rounding off a relaxing day in paradise.
The Zanzibarian chefs are renowned for sumptuous seafood buffets and spicy island fare, all freshly prepared. From calamari and coconut curries to freshly grilled lime fish and breakfasts are traditionally centered around the variety of freshly prepared pastries and local fruits, and there's plenty to choose from - Zanzibar has over 20 different types of mango, and an abundance of bananas, papaya, pineapple and passion fruit amongst many others! Lunches are light and appetizing, and dinners are seasonally characterized by huge buffets and fresh fish barbecues in our open-air restaurant.

| DAY 4
- ZANZIBAR - STONE TOWN

Say good-bye to the beach this morning and transfer to fascinating Stone Town where Africa’s exotic past is revealed in it’s architecture and narrow streets Emerson’s & Green Hotel. The second tallest building in Stone Town Zanzibar, the hotel has been restored to its former glory when it was the residence of one of the richest men in the Swahili Empire. The furnishings are all original Zanzibarian antiques of varied origins and styles.
The ten guestrooms are beautiful and romantic, each representing Zanzibari traditions in a distinct way. All rooms except for the Kipembe room are equipped with large stone bathtubs providing unusual bathing pleasure where a bubble bath and a bottle of wine are a frequent request. Ceiling fans keep our guests cool along with the constant breeze on the upper floors. Second and first floor rooms as well as the South room are equipped with air conditioning for added comfort. The sultan-sized rooms on the first and second floors have 20 foot ceilings, carved doors, original stucco décor and hand painted glass lamps and window panes. All guest rooms have large Zanzibari beds complete with netting.
Wander the streets of Stone Town this afternoon before returning to Emerson’s for authentic Zanzibari meal at it’s famous Tower Top Restaurant.

Enjoy the morning in Stone Town and later in the day you will be transferred to airport where you will board the scheduled flight back to Arusha, Nairobi or Dar es Salaam.
