Arrive into Nairobi today off your International flight. After clearing customs you will be met and driven to the Windsor Golf and Country Club. This old colonial style resort is just 15 minutes from downtown and offers a variety of sporting activities for both adults and children. After checking in enjoy a late dinner or snack.

| DAY 2
- SWEETWATER'S GAME RESERVE

This morning after breakfast you will be met by your guide and will depart by road to the Mount Kenya region to Sweetwater’s Game Reserve and Chimp Sanctuary. While here you will stay at Sweetwater’s Tented Camp which lies in the heart of this 24,000-acre reserve. This permanent tented camp has magnificent views across the plains to the snow capped peaks of Mount Kenya. The 30 luxury tents overlook the waterhole, floodlit by night, providing excellent game viewing as the animals come to drink.
After you check into your tents, enjoy lunch then head out on an afternoon game drive, returning for dinner. One of the highlights of today’s game drive is a visit to a 200 acre island which serves as a chimpanzee sanctuary. Weather permitting you will take a 30-minute boat ride on the river which winds through the Sanctuary. Another highlight is will be visiting the tame black rhino, Morani at the visitor’s center.

| DAYS 3/4
- SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE

After an early morning breakfast at the camp, you will drive north, past the equator to Samburu land. Samburu is an exotic reserve situated in the northern, arid region of Kenya. The Ewaso Ngiro sand river runs through the reserve, attracting large numbers of wildlife, including: Lion, cheetah, leopard, and many elephant. You also will see unique northern species of game like the long-necked gerenuk, the reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Grevy’s zebra, and the graceful dik dik.
Your home for the next two nights is the wonderful Samburu Intrepids Camp - built in the shade of the riverine forest along the Ewaso Ngiro River. It is often a favorite hang-out for herds of elephant passing through. This luxury permanent tented camp has beautifully appointed bedroom tents, wooden floors, and spacious bathrooms.
After checking in, you will depart on an afternoon game drive returning to the camp for drinks around the fire. the also has activities especially designed for kids under the Intrepids Adventurers Club program. They will enjoy a camel ride, bush walk and visit a local Samburu Village.

| DAY 5
- LAKE NAKURU

After breakfast you leave the arid land of Samburu, and drive down to the floor of the Great Rift Valley escarpment to Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru is world-renowned for its millions of pink Flamingoes feeding in the lake. It is a protected game sanctuary for endangered species such as the Black and White rhino and the Rothschild Giraffe. It is also home to lion, leopard and the Black & White Colobus monkey.
Your stay here will be at the Flamingo Hill Tented Camp, which is between the “honeymoon hills” within Lake Nakuru National Park with landscaped grounds, natural foliage and a variety of indigenous African plants and flowers. This small property has 25 guest “tents” are decorated in calming safari tones, natural woods and wrought iron. They have spacious 4 poster beds with mosquito nets, full ensuite facilities and a private verandah overlooking the plains. There is also a restaurant, lounge and private meeting areas.
After enjoying lunch at the camp you’ll depart on an afternoon game drive, returning to the camp for dinner and overnight.

| DAY 6
- MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

From Lake Nakuru you will depart for the Maasai Mara National Reserve - Kenya’s premier wildlife sanctuary. You will see more animals here than you ever imagined possible. The lush Mara savannah is home to thousands of plains game and their predators (lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, jackal and of course vultures). Here is one of the best places in Africa to witness the interaction between animals.
You will arrive at the Karen Blixen Camp in time for lunch. Set on the bank of the Mara River the camp consists of 22 luxurious tents, including a double size family one. Each of the tents has an ensuite bathroom with WC, twin hand basins and hot shower and solid, comfortable furniture. From the spacious verandah you can relax and watch wildlife on the river. Camp facilities also include the dining tent, a restaurant, a bar and a swimming pool, as well as wellness treatments are offered by the resident masseuse.
Activities include game drives in 4WD safari vehicles, walks with Maasai guides and a visits to the nearby Maasai village, school and church if you wish to. You can also enjoy a relaxing massage.
The location of Karen Blixen Camp is spectacular, with the great Mara plains behind the camp and the impressive escarpment and Mara River in front. Throughout the day, zebras, elephants and hippos come to drink from the river.
Relax after lunch, before departing on an afternoon game drive returning before dark.

| DAYS 7/8
- MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE

Depart on an early game drive this morning, returning to the camp for breakfast. Then depart on an interpretive walk, or visit a local school or Maasai village. After lunch back at the camp, relax or take a swim, before departing on an afternoon game drive. The next day depart on an all day game drive with a box lunch, or go out after breakfast, return and go out again. It’s up to you, your guide and the location of the animals.

| DAY 9
- MAASAI MARA / NAIROBI / END OF SAFARI

Rise early today for a family sunrise game drive, returning to camp for a late breakfast. Afterwards your guide will drive you to the airstrip to catch the scheduled 11:00am flight back to Nairobi, arriving at 12:00pm. When you arrive you will be met and taken to lunch in town, before being driven to the airport for your departing flight.
