DAY 1 - NAIROBI  
Arrive into Nairobi today off your International flight. After clearing customs you will be met and driven to the Windsor Golf and Country Club. This old colonial style resort is just 15 minutes from downtown and offers a variety of sporting activities for both adults and children. After checking in enjoy a late dinner or snack.

DAY 2 - SWEETWATER'S GAME RESERVE  
This morning after breakfast you will be met by your guide and will depart by road to the Mount Kenya region to Sweetwater’s Game Reserve and Chimp Sanctuary. While here you will stay at Sweetwater’s Tented Camp which lies in the heart of this 24,000-acre reserve. This permanent tented camp has magnificent views across the plains to the snow capped peaks of Mount Kenya. The 30 luxury tents overlook the waterhole, floodlit by night, providing excellent game viewing as the animals come to drink.

After you check into your tents, enjoy lunch then head out on an afternoon game drive, returning for dinner. One of the highlights of today’s game drive is a visit to a 200 acre island which serves as a chimpanzee sanctuary. Weather permitting you will take a 30-minute boat ride on the river which winds through the Sanctuary. Another highlight is will be visiting the tame black rhino, Morani at the visitor’s center. DAYS 3/4 - SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE  
After an early morning breakfast at the camp, you will drive north, past the equator to Samburu land. Samburu is an exotic reserve situated in the northern, arid region of Kenya. The Ewaso Ngiro sand river runs through the reserve, attracting large numbers of wildlife, including: Lion, cheetah, leopard, and many elephant. You also will see unique northern species of game like the long-necked gerenuk, the reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Grevy’s zebra, and the graceful dik dik.

Your home for the next two nights is the wonderful Samburu Intrepids Camp - built in the shade of the riverine forest along the Ewaso Ngiro River. It is often a favorite hang-out for herds of elephant passing through. This luxury permanent tented camp has beautifully appointed bedroom tents, wooden floors, and spacious bathrooms with hot and cold water, showers and flush toilets.

After checking in, you will depart on an afternoon game drive returning to the camp for drinks around the fire. Then next day your children will join other kids at the camp for a day of activities especially designed for kids under the Intrepids Adventurers Club program. They will enjoy a camel ride, bush walk and visit a local Samburu Village. Overnight - Samburu Intrepids Camp (all meals & activities)


DAY 5 - MT. KENYA  
This morning you will have a short drive to the famous Mt. Kenya Safari Club. This beautiful property sits at the base of Mt. Kenya and was formerly the hunting lodge of William Holden. With its blend of romance, history and scenery, it has become a Kenyan tradition. At an elevation of over 7,000 ft. the air is cool, the gardens lush and the views of Mt. Kenya are magnificent.

You will arrive in time to visit the William Holden Animal Orphanage next to the club, where all sorts of baby animals are nurtured, by you and the staff, in order to prepare them for their return to the wild. After lunch your guide will leave for Nairobi and will be meeting you later in the Maasai Mara. The afternoon is yours to relax around the pool, take a wildlife walk, or just wander in the gardens. DAY 6 - MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE  
This morning after a leisurely breakfast you will be driven to the nearby Nanyuki Airport and board the scheduled flight to the Maasai Mara. The Maasai Mara is Kenya’s premier wildlife reserve. You will see more animals here than you ever imagined possible. The lush Mara savannah is home to thousands of plains game and their predators (lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, jackal and of course vultures). Here is one of the best places in Africa to witness the interaction between animals.

Upon arrival at the airstrip you will be met by a camp vehicle and proceed to your luxury tented camp. The Mara Intrepids Camp is located between the Talek River and a small tributary of the Mara River setting it apart as an is an oasis of comfort and privacy under spreading trees. The tents are scattered among the trees along the river banks in secluded groups of three or four. The tents are rustic and natural with handcrafted safari furniture of wood and leather, there are canopied beds, hand-woven rugs, electric lanterns and each has a private verandah and en suite bathroom. There is a lookout tower where you can relax with a sundowner cocktail after game drives and watch for game at sunset. Your private guide, who left the day before, will meet you after lunch and you will depart on your first game drive in the Mara this afternoon. DAYS 7/8 - MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE  
This morning your children will depart with the camp Adventurers Club guide for a full day of wildlife activities, while you go on an all day game drive with a picnic lunch (or two game drives). Your children will be back in the late afternoon to tell you of their adventure. On the next day depart on two game drives, or head out for an all day game drive with a picnic lunch. Overnight - Mara Intrepids Camp (all meals & activities)

DAY 9 - MAASAI MARA / NAIROBI / END OF SAFARI  
Rise early today for a family sunrise game drive, returning to camp for a late breakfast. Afterwards you will bid farewell to your guide and be driven to the nearby airstrip to catch the scheduled flight back to Nairobi. From here you will either continue on your tour, or be transferred to the International airport to catch your flight home.
