Arrive into Entebbe today and after clearing customs you will be met and transferred to Kampala and your accommodation at the Kampala Grand Imperial Hotel.

| DAY 2
- KAMPALA / LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK

This morning you will depart for Lake Mburo National Park, a 3 and ½ drive from Kampala. This are of Uganda is similar to the wildlife reserves of Kenya and Tanzania, with extensive acacia woodland and grasslands. Here you will find eland, zebra, topi and impala. The five lakes within the park attract hippos, crocodiles and a variety of birds, while fringing swamps hide secretive papyrus specialists such as the sitatunga antelope and red, black and yellow papyrus gonalek.
You will arrive at the secluded Mantana Tented Camp in time for lunch. This small classic permanent tented camp is the only luxury camp in Lake Mburo National Park, and is set in a high hill overlooking Lake Mburo. All nine guest tents and the restaurant and bar area are set on raised wooden platforms that provide stunning views. Each tent is private with on suite bathrooms with a drop toilet and hot bucket shower. There is no electricity and dinner is served under the stars, or in the dinning room under lantern.
After lunch you will go on a short canoe ride in the Lake Mburu, followed by an afternoon game drive.

| DAY 3
- BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST

Today you continue to the dense forested hills of Bwindi. The Bwindi Impenetrable forest was established in 1991 to protect ½ of the remaining Mountain Gorilla’s. Here exists about one half of the world's population of the endangered mountain gorillas. Other animals including the Colobus monkey, chimpanzee, elephant, bushbuck, duiker, buffalo, golden cat, leopard, civet, bushpig and giant forest hog. This pocket of primeval forest in the Virunga Mountain range is one of the most biologically diverse areas on earth and has been designated as a World Heritage Site. The Gorillas live at altitudes of up to 6,500 feet (1,980 m) so be prepared for a long and difficult hike. Usually these habituated gorilla’s are tracked daily by the park rangers, but they can travel long distances through the dense jungle in a matter of hours.
Your stay here will be at Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge. This luxury Lodge overlooks the primeval Bwindi forest and consist of 8 spacious bandas with a dinning room, bar and lounge that overlooks the forest below.
Relax for the rest of the day or go on a guided walk.

| DAY 4
- BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST – GORILLA TREK

This morning you arise early to begin your hike to find the Gorilla’s. Depending on where they were last spotted it may take several hours to come upon them. But your patience and stamina will be rewarded. Coming upon a family of these amazing creatures in the undergrowth is an inspiring moment. After a full hour with these intelligent gentle creatures it’s time for one last look before hiking back to the trail head, then back to the lodge.

After breakfast it’s time to leave for Kampala. A picnic lunch will be served en-route and you will arrive in the late afternoon.
