You will be met off your flight into Livingstone, Zambia and driven to the nearby Sussi Lodge, situated on the northern edge of the Mosi Oa Tunya National Park. This small parks name comes from the people who have lived here for eons and means “Smoke Which Thunders”, as it is situated next to the mighty Victoria Falls. This is one of the few places you can see the rare white Rhino. You may also see Giraffe, Buffalo, Zebra, Sable, Eland, Wildebeest and migrating Elephants, often wallowing in shallow pools near the banks of the Zambezi River.
Sussi Lodge is a luxury lodge set on a sweeping bend of the Zambezi River, just 10 minutes upstream from the falls themselves. Guest accommodations consist of 10 luxury tree-houses, built into the living canopy of giant ebony trees lining the bank. Each unit has a private view of the Zambezi from its own deck set among the branches. The main lodge building features a raised bar and lounge deck, open air dining area, swimming pool and lawns sweeping down to the water’s edge where resident wildlife, such as hippopotamus and elephant often wander through on their way in and out of the park.
After lunch, you may depart on an afternoon game drive in the park, go for a swim, even try your hand at fishing, or relax on your deck watching the river with a cool drink. Dinner is served in the dining area or under the stars next to the bonfire.

Lunga River Lodge has six spacious thatched rooms with private decks that overlook the river, ensuring breathtaking views and en suite shower and bathroom. There is a bar with sundeck that is suspended over the river, a dining room and deck, reading room and plunge pool.
